In addition to shooting weddings, family portraits, and headshots, I am a senior portrait photographer! For a fun, modern mother daughter portrait session, you can pick out outfits that complement each other without being too matchy-matchy. I love when my clients select a color palette for their portraits. This gives the portraits a cohesive look (which is especially important for these mother daughter sessions) and emphasizes your similarities! If you love wearing blue, you can each pick a different shade of denim.
If you want to have fun with prints or colors, you may decide to go with floral blouses and jeans! Or you can wear a bold red, balanced out with neutral tones. And you can never go wrong with solid black outfits – this is a timeless look.
