Spring Cle Elum Wedding
Morgan and Thomas had a beautiful Spring Cle Elum wedding at Swauk Grange. The Teanaway Valley provided the perfect views to complement the couple’s intimate affair. Having known Morgan for years, I was elated to be chosen as her wedding photographer and to meet her now husband, Thomas! Getting to share in couples’ love stories on their special day has always been a role I hold personally important. I love weddings and it is a joy to showcase these moments as thoughtfully and brilliantly as they were planned.
Getting to Know the Bride
I have known Morgan and her family for many years! Her mother, Rob, is the editor, owner, and creative force behind Showcase Magazine, a PNW-based publication at which I have been the staff photographer for well over 10 years now! Where has the time gone?? I also had the pleasure of working with Morgan at many events, and I did her senior photographs in 2020! She is the most beautiful woman inside and out and made an even more stunning bride! For her wedding, Morgan rocked a form-fitting dress, with an intricate lace and mesh back. A beautiful combination with her cascade of wavy locks. The camera truly loves her!
First Looks & Candid Wedding Portraits
We did a set of first-look portraits with Dad, which was so sweet. Weddings are big life moments not only for the bride and groom but for their families too. Sending their child off to their adult life can be bittersweet. For that reason, moments like these are some of the most important to capture! And the best wedding photographs are candid ones! Morgan and Thomas’s ceremony was full of these candid moments, and we got a bunch of fun portraits with them and their guests.
Eastern Washington Wedding Venue
These two got married in mid-May at the Swauk Teanaway Grange Hall in Cle Elum. Modeled after the original rural schoolhouse which caught fire in 2004, this classic farmhouse serves as a wedding venue for the community, displaying scenic views of the Swauk Prairie. With antique and classic touches, it is no wonder so many choose this PNW venue for their celebrations. You can check out the Hall’s website for more information on this historical site and all its offerings!
Rustic Farmhouse Ceremony
Morgan and Thomas picked a delightful WA day for their wedding. I call these Goldilocks days because the weather is not too cold, not too hot, but the perfect in-between. There were even some rain sprinkles for good luck! Despite it wearing off, the ceremony had to be moved from the grassy outside venue to inside the rustic farmhouse. This lovely young couple was so smitten and ready to get married that they could not care less where it took place! Plus, we still got tons of pictures with those breathtaking outdoor views. A win-win!
