Mayflower Park Wedding
Dawn and Joel had a lovely Mayflower Park wedding in Seattle this spring. Surrounded by their friends and family, the day was a pleasure to be a part of. For 20-plus years, I have gotten to photograph couples on their big day. As someone who loves love, in all its many forms, I can’t think of a more fulfilling way to spend my time. Each couple I meet holds a special place in my heart, and Dawn and Joel are just the same! I am delighted to share some of the photos I captured from their wedding and hope seeing their love brings you as much joy as it surely does me!
Historic Downtown Venue
For their venue, these two love birds chose a timeless location, known and adored by many in the PNW. Originally built in 1927, the historic Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle is one of the last independently owned hotels in the city. The timelessly charming Queen Anne-style furnishings of the hotel were the perfect backdrop to complement an equally charming couple. This venue offers many locations for couples to tie the knot. During the ceremony, Dawn and Joel married in front of an inviting fireplace, dressed elegantly in navy blue outfits, with their closest loved ones cheering them on.
An Authentic Celebration of Love
As any engaged couple knows, there are a million different ways to plan a wedding. In the end, no matter how many opinions you hear, the correct one is always down to what makes you and your partner the happiest. A couple’s wedding day should be a reflection of their love, representing their shared values. Being intentional about what you want and who you want there, on such a special day, is the best way to make sure everyone is relaxed and can be their authentic selves. Whether it is intimate or over the top, each couple deserves to celebrate the way they want!
Beginning The Next Chapter of Their Lives
Dawn and Joel’s wedding this spring was the perfect example of a stunning intimate affair. With their closest family and friends present, this happy couple got to pledge their love to one another. As they begin the next chapter of their lives, I know it means the world to them to do it with the support of the ones they love! I couldn’t be more excited for these two as they continue adding to their already amazing love story. May they have many more unquestionably happy years to come!
