Serenity Spa Showcase
I met Megan Douglas, licensed massage therapist and owner of Serenity Spa, more than a decade ago at what is now Studio253! The building that houses our photography studio used to be Nurture Healing Center, and Megan founded her first spa location in downtown Tacoma just a block away! How fun is that?! After 10 plus years of operations, Megan is now expanding her reach and opening a second location!! I had the pleasure of photographing this new location for Showcase Magazine, where I am the staff photographer. Brand New University Place Location
In December of 2021, realizing that the need for stress relief and relaxation has never been higher, Megan decided to expand her spa, and open a second location. She found the perfect spot, a little closer to home, and the University Place Serenity Spa was created! This location not only has allowed Megan to reach more people, but also provided her with a way to achieve what has been a long-term dream of hers: creating a line of spa products. The UP location features a back room with a lab where Megan has been able to create her own line of spa essentials, Serenity Now! The products are used at both spa locations as well as available for purchase online to be used in your own home!
Tranquil Décor
Whether it is the original downtown location, or the newest UP building, both locations offer an array of tranquil décor items and a calm atmosphere to get you feeling relaxed. They achieve this with a combination of neutral colors, touches of natural wood, and plush accents. Plus those peaceful sounds and scents! Serenity Spas and Clinics offer a variety of treatments to heal the body, from acupuncture to massage and even an infrared sauna. They also offer more traditional spa services like waxing and facials. If you are in need of some wellness and healing, make sure to check out their newest location!
AHP Branding Sessions
Serenity Spa is just one of the many women-owned businesses that I have had the pleasure of photographing! As a female entrepreneur in Tacoma, I am all about empowering and uplifting other women. Supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs is so important to me. One of the ways that I like to promote these women is through branding sessions!
