Our May Boss Babe is a master functional nutritionist, lecturer, and educator: Anne Fischer Silvia. Anne is the owner of Pivotal Health Collective, a successful private practice located in Tacoma, WA. I enjoyed meeting Anne this month for a studio portrait session. We were able to channel all that life she brings directly into her new headshots! Each month, the talents and knowledge of each of these hardworking Boss Babes blow me away. Getting to Know Anne
Anne is a health warrior, mother, wife, and longevity expert. She is the living embodiment of the “practice what you preach” mantra! Showing her clients the type of life they can lead, and the health obstacles they can overcome by investing just a little bit more in their wellbeing. Her own transformational story (which you can read about on her website) is a testament to the work she does. She gave us a little taste of that lifestyle during our session. Showing off her muscles for the second half of her portraits! I always encourage clients to bring some props with them that visually illustrate the work that they do. And Anne did not disappoint!
What is Functional Nutrition
Functional nutrition uses food and nutrient therapy to address the underlying causes of chronic disease. And Anne is an expert in the field! Over the last 23 years, Anne has taught nutrition courses in Washington, Hawaii, and California. As well as hosted “Health-Wise” (a weekly radio show), and written articles for several well-known health publications. Anne has also trained hundreds of other practitioners in her methodology via her Restorative Wellness Solutions program. Through this education, she wants people to know that getting older doesn’t have to mean saying goodbye to your health!
