Zack and Jeremy’s Tacoma Museum of Glass wedding was such a joy to be a part of. We started the day with photos at the Marriott in Tacoma before walking over to the MOG to capture portraits with the cool glass sculptures in the background.
Client Referrals
I am such a people person. As an extrovert, I thrive off of meeting new people, being social, and making lasting connections. I met Zack through his sister, who had been to a wedding I had shot years before. She referred me to Zack for his wedding. I was so glad to hear that I made an impression on her all those years ago.
I also love having repeat clients! It means so much to me when wedding clients come back for family portraits and other milestones.
Engagement Portraits Before Your Wedding
Zack and Jeremy live in Vegas, but have family in Washington. They booked an engagement session for October prior to their 2018 wedding, when they were in town visiting family. I encourage all my wedding clients to book an engagement session before the wedding. It gives us a chance to get to know each other! It also helps you and your spouse-to-be feel comfortable in front of the camera, practice different poses, and communicate important information with me before your big day. Plus, a complimentary engagement session is included in your wedding package with AHP. You can read more about why you should book an engagement session before your wedding on the blog here.
Exchanging Vows at the Museum of Glass
Zack and Jeremy exchanged their vows in front of the beautiful glass sculptures outside of the Tacoma Museum of Glass. You could just tell how much love these two have for each other, and it was so meaningful for them to trust me with capturing their ceremony. Same-sex marriage was legalized in Washington in 2012, and I am so grateful for each wedding I have been a part of since.
Wedding Colors
Zack and Jeremy had so much fun picking the colors and décor for their wedding, and I simply love the bright teal they chose for their wedding party. It added a fun pop of color to have bridesmaids in matching dresses, and Zack and Jeremy coordinated their suits and bowties. This gorgeous color scheme was carried throughout the venue, with vibrant décor, a colorful cake, and even glasses of blue champagne.
Tacoma Museum of Glass Family Portraits
Weddings are the perfect opportunity for family portraits. Your family and friends may have traveled far and wide to be with you on your wedding day, and it may be a rare occurrence for all of you to be in the same place at the same time.
The Museum of Glass was the perfect backdrop for Zack and Jeremy’s wedding portraits. It’s one of the best spots in Tacoma for portraits, and I’ve had several ah-mazing family portrait sessions here.
