Sunny Tacoma Engagement Portraits
I had so much fun shooting these sunny Tacoma engagement portraits with Nobi and Edwin! Miss Nobi and I met back in 2019 when I did her senior portraits and I simply loved her! Three years later and I was just as excited when I heard she had gotten engaged!! Especially when I found out she was engaged to her BFF’s brother. (Her BFF, Abby, was on my 2020 model team). How fun is that?! These two make such an adorable couple and I cannot wait to share their session with you!
Country Cuties
Both Nobi and Edwin love country and wanted to wear their matching cowboy boots for their session. I thought the idea was perfect for their shoot and so cute! Nobi wore her tall white boots with a lace sundress, and Edwin rocked a classic brown-toned pair and jeans. They went so well together! Sometimes even just wearing matching shoes can be the detail that makes the two outfits work together! While we don’t expect couples to be too matchy-matchy with their clothing, it’s important to have a few similar items to keep the portraits looking clean and unified. Summertime Scenery at Ft. Stilly
To match their cute country aesthetic, I brought the happy couple to Ft. Stilly to capture that gorgeous summertime scenery. The weather was perfect for this July Session. So much beautiful sun! What makes this location even better though, is the tall, dried, yellow grass that can only be found in the PNW during the summer. We had to take advantage of that scenery for their portraits! Nobi even had her senior portraits taken here back in 2019, which just adds to the special memories at this place. Who doesn’t love Ft. Stilly in the summertime??
Playful Poses For Couple Shoots
One of the reasons I adore engagement sessions is the fun, playful poses that each couple has! And Nobi and Edwin had no shortage of cute poses!! I had them leaning against and laying by a rustic fence for a couple of shots, and my heart just about melted seeing the way these two looked at each other! But I have to say, when they started dancing in the wide-open field with each other, wow! The best!
