Couple’s Winter Portrait Session
I had so much fun with Sarah and Tiana for their couple’s winter portrait session! These two awesome ladies found me through a family member and I was more than happy to make these photos happen for them! There is no bigger compliment than having your past clients refer their friends and family to you and I am so pleased when I hear about the connection. Referrals and word-of-mouth advertising are truly the backbone of small businesses. Every time my clients share, leave a review, or post about my work, I do a little happy dance. Owen Beach and Point Defiance
For these winter portraits, I brought the camera down to Owen Beach and met up with this fun couple. Let me tell you, I am so happy we started with these waterfront photos. The grey skyline and blue water worked so well with Sarah and Tiana’s outfits and made them the center of attention! With how these two look at each other, it would have been a waste to share the spotlight with a bright blue sky or bold sun! For their next look, we swapped the sand for the soil and made our way to the next location. Sarah and Tiana ventured into the forest at Pt. Defiance to get some AH-mazing shots with our classic PNW trees. Which spot do you want your next photos at?
Outdoor Portraits in Mid-December
While it might sound scary to plan a photoshoot during the winter (especially one outside!), winter can actually be one of the best times to get your portraits taken. I mean, just look at the gorgeous gray sky and dark green Douglas Firs!! Though winter can come with its own set of unpredictable weather patterns, I’ve had years of experience planning for the best and the worst-case scenarios when it comes to photo day. We planned Sarah and Tiana’s session for Mid-December and the weather was perfect! They both dressed for the shoot location, and we made sure to keep them as warm as possible. If we learned anything from this shoot, don’t count winter out of your family portrait plans!
