Tacoma Engagement Summer Session
Where can I even begin with Amy and Matt’s Tacoma engagement summer session?! These two lovebirds have been dating for roughly one decade and finally decided to tie the knot this past fall. I love client referrals and these two were first introduced to me by Amy’s cousins. My clients are the best! When they choose to share my name with their friends and family because they loved their photos and experience with their session, just as much as I did, it truly is AH-mazing! Amy and Matt were such a fun couple to work with and brought their bright and vibrant energy to every one of the shots, even if it was SO warm from that end of July heat!
Dancing at Point Defiance and Opera Alley
I simply love summer in the PNW, and there aren’t many more perfect places to capture the beauty of this summer engagement session than at the Tacoma locations Amy and Matt picked. We started off at Opera Alley, right down the street from Studio 253, to get some shots with the gorgeous red brick background and green window ledge that complimented Amy’s green polka dot dress so well! And we can’t forget about that yellow garage which these two showed off like no other. I love a couple that isn’t afraid to embrace their bold surroundings and even dance a little! From there we made our way to Point Defiance to get some more shots in the park and get to know our couple a little better closer to their home!
Timeless Summer Outfit Changes
Amy picked the most perfect variety of colorful and light summer dresses that worked so well with the bright red and yellow backgrounds of Opera Alley and natural greens of the trees and flowers at Point Defiance. Bright, vibrant, and fun are the best three words that I can use to describe this couple and their shoot! To complete her outfits, Amy had her hair and makeup professionally done by the wonderful Tracie, who I’ve had the privilege to work with for years. Tracie’s goal was to enhance the natural beauty that Amy already radiated, and she nailed it! Although, does the dress or makeup even matter when you look at each other the way that Amy and Matt do? AH-mazing.
Fun, Laid-Back Engagement Session
Engagement sessions are such an awesome way for couples to celebrate their love for each other before the hustle and bustle of the big day. It’s a time for them to have fun and truly showcase what makes their love unique and special to them! I simply love my clients, and Amy and Matt made this session SO much fun! From dancing and snuggling (I know, how sweet!), to relaxing on the Spanish Steps near the new McMenamins in Tacoma, they transported us to another time. This shoot had all the natural fun that I hope every couple can have during their photo session and is exactly what I aim to capture for each couple so that they can share in these memories for a lifetime! How adorable are these two? I can’t wait to share their wedding day from last fall.
