If you are planning a summer wedding in Washington and want a rustic wedding venue, Heartland Ranch is a great venue to consider. This gorgeous ranch is secluded and private but is still just an hour’s drive from Seatac and Olympia. I love photographing weddings here and am excited to share more about this beautiful wedding venue.
Family-Owned
One of the many reasons I love Heartland Ranch is because of how friendly the owners are. Marcia is an incredible coordinator who makes sure her couples are taken care of on their wedding day. You can also schedule a free tour to see the venue in person and get to know Marcia and her incredible staff. The O’Brien family has owned the ranch for a long time and takes amazing care of the property.
The venue also has a list of vendors that they recommend working with for the best experience. Erin of Rustic Receptions provides gorgeous rental items that add to the overall feel of the ranch. I am grateful to have photographed several gorgeous weddings at this venue.
Rustic Setting
There are plenty of details that add to the rustic setting of Heartland Ranch. There is a super cute trailer for the bride, where I get to capture all of your getting ready moments! Plus, the trailer has air conditioning for those warm summer days.
The lawn is gorgeous and perfect for setting-up reception games. The relaxed atmosphere is ideal for an outdoor summer wedding. The white picket fence and lush greenery are a great backdrop for rustic wedding party portraits. There are also different settings to choose from for your ceremony. There is even a heart-shaped pond.
The venue bar was made by hand, and the ranch includes ice troughs for beverages. The dance floor ensures your guests will keep the party going.
Rain or Shine
Heartland Ranch is open seasonally, June through September, and is the best venue for a summer wedding in Washington. When it’s not raining, there are gorgeous views of Mt. Rainier.
If it does rain, the venue has an amazing tent that can accommodate all of your guests. This is also a great idea for super sunny days, as it can provide a break from the sun for your wedding guests. The lovely white tent sits in the middle of a field, so your guests can still take in the sweeping views of the ranch, surrounding farmland, and the mountain. Heartland Ranch includes elegant tent and bar lighting, so you won’t miss a moment.
